Investing in Vinyl Records?

!±8± Investing in Vinyl Records?

Did you know that vinyl records are still being pressed? There are nowadays a a number of companies focusing on releasing vinyl records of old recordings. These little guys focus mostly on releasing their product to a market that wants the very best possible quality of sound they can afford. This is an public of folks that have been known to invest in top systems costing over .000. it is still analog technology that is thought to be superior if you want to experience fabulous audio. These new releases also, most of the time, actually sound better than the original LPs. The enhanced care and craftsmanship that goes into these audiophile discs means you are receiving a product that is utterly special. Many people that are being exposed to these LPs are quite taken by the detail and sound they hear on their favorite records. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. For many people it is a good investment.

Further reason could be that vinyl records have proven to be a good collector's item, with a loyal following, that is prepared to pay good money for a top end product.

Some of these releases have a tendency to rise in value over the years So they make great investments for collectors and vinyl lovers. Most recently re-released vinyl is in limited editions and therefore their value regularly goes up after the edition is sold out. Naturally, good condition original issues that are in good condition, particularly from the sixties and seventies, can also turn out to sell at high prices.

Whatever the reasons are, to me it is just quite interesting how in this demanding world of audiophile audio there is still a place for analog technology. Proving that the newest gadgets are not allways preferable and how important it can be to make your own judgment to what really is important to you as a consumer. If you are a lover of music and of high quality sound maybe you should walk into a vinyl store and see if you can find one of these audiophile vinyl records to have a careful listen. You might be shocked at what you find.
